Dump Truck [ > Dump Truck Training] Operator – FIFO from BNE or CNS
This client is an industry leader, employing a wide range of skilled trades and individuals throughout the Bowen Basin. An opportunity is currently available for an experienced Truck Operator to join this client immediately on a 7/7 Roster in the Bowen Basin on a fly in, fly out basis.
What you’ll need to succeed
You will be required to have current certification and experience on a Dump Truck [ > Dump Truck Training] in a mining environment.
You also must have a current Coal Board Medical [...*Coal Board Medical*] issued within the last 5 years and a Standard 11 [*Standard 11 Training*] (or willing to obtain).
As this is a FIFO role, you must reside within 100km of the Brisbane or Cairns airport – please ensure this is listed on your resume prior to applying.
What you’ll get in return
You will be granted with an immediate start in the Bowen Basin. All of your flights, meals and accommodation are supplied to you by the client and you will work a 7/7 Roster – day and night.
There is an opportunity to receive a Temp Worker Recognition Bonus after 6 months of continuous work.

About the Bowen Basin
The Bowen Basin is Queensland's coal mine region and contains the largest coal reserves in Australia. It was named after the first Govenor of Queensland, Sir George Bowen.
This major coal producing region is home to one of the world's largest deposits of bituminous coal. The Bowen Basin, which contains virtually all ofthe state's hard coking coal, is the most important source of export coal in Queensland. This is why it's such a mining jobs hotspot.
High quality coal is mined here, both above and below ground, creating many opportunities for workers who seek long-term employment.
Most of the basin's open cut and underground coal mines are located in the north. The basin has around 50 operational coal mines. The Goonyella railway line is the main route for coal exports via Dalrymple Bay and Hay Point. Coal is also sent by way of the Port of Gladstone.
