CAT Diesel Fitter Maintenance FIFO New Caledonia Brisbane

SES Labour Solutions is working closely with an international company that operates a fleet of earthmoving equipment in New Caledonia. They require an experienced Diesel Fitter to assist with effectively maintaining and repairing their fleet of predominantly CAT equipment whilst improving the skills of the local workforce. The role will be residential based with housing supplied.
The work will be mainly workshop based focusing on servicing, maintaining and repairing the equipment. However, there will be site based work required from time to time.
Strong knowledge of CAT trucks both heavy rigid and articulated coupled with Hitachi excavator experience would be ideal. Exposure to VIMS, SIS and E.T highly regarded as is the ability to communicate and understand the French language.
To be considered for this role you will need the following skills and experience:
- Cert III in Engineering Mechanical – Diesel Fitter
- Min 3+ years maintaining and repairing CAT / Hitachi earthmoving equipment
- Ability to diagnose and repair faults in a timely manner
- Previous international experience preferred
- Previous CAT OEM experience will be highly regarded yet not essential
Due to the nature of the role you will be required to liaise closely with the national workforce and assist with training and their skills development therefore an understanding of other cultures and patience will be vital in this role.
