Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, this position will be responsible for managing these sites with the objective of attaining overall profitability and business growth, while maintaining excellent levels of safety, environmental, and quality system standards. Duties also include the setting and achieving of strategic objectives for the mining, multi mineral processing, storage and dispatch component of the business.
Key responsibilities will include
- Effective management of the team, plant and contractors to ensure all activities operate in accordance with company OH&S, Environment and Quality systems; promote and foster zero harm for all employees and contractors
- Analyze and rectify inefficiencies within the manufacturing processes; make recommendations for upgrade, modification or replacement of equipment to achieve optimum profitability and production performance
- Efficient and effective use of resources to maintain a viable and sustainable operation
- Contribute to the setting, monitoring and delivery of budgets and strategic objectives for the site.
- Maintain sound customer relations through the sales team and develop and build positive relationships with the community, neighbors, contractors and regulators.
You will need
Proven leadership experience within a mining or heavy industry environment.Ideally, you have attained NSW Mining Supervisor competencies and have previous experience as a Site Senior Executive, a Certificate IV in Extraction Industry, and hold formal qualifications in a technical field within mining, engineering or mineral processing, though this is negotiable dependent on your demonstrated experience.

Resources and Infrastructure Industry (RII)
Commonly refered to as Black Coal Competency (BCC), the RII competency is one that can be attained by an operator who has previously worked in the industry and has completed a number of operating hours on various types of machinery.
RII competency is granted to prove correct and safe operation of mine site machinery. It is a very useful qualification to have, as it confirms the operator has the required experience and expertise.
