The role:

The primary purpose of the Underground Fitter role is the day-to-day mechanical Maintenance of the Frogs Leg Underground Gold Mine Mobile Equipment. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role safely performs work to ensure the reliability & availability of the underground mobile plant equipment.

The successful applicant will be required to work in all sections of the mine, & at all times work in a safe manner, with a high standard of workmanship. Undertaking additional / alternative responsibilities as reasonably requested by the supervisor and the provisions of continuous improvement ideas also makes up part of this critical role.

Are you the one?

  • Certificate III in HD Fitting or other relevant trade qualifications
  • Previous experience as HD Fitter in a gold or related underground environment
  • Knowledge of, and experience with maintaining underground mobile equipment
  • Have a proven track record in planning and resourcing activities to achieve results and outcomes on time.
  • Solid computer skills
  • Dangerous Goods Security Clearance and Confined Space Entry Certificate desirable
