Warehouse Forklift Operator Job Mine Site <strong>Bowen Basin</strong>

This client is a business leader in the coal mining industry employing a wide range of skilled trades and individuals. They are searching for experienced warehouse /Storeman to join their team within the Bowen Basin

Your new role

This ongoing job will see you contributing to the effective operation of the warehouse. Your will be assisting in the receipts, storage, protection and distribution of the company’s assets. The role will see you starting on a Monday to Friday roster located near Moranbah.

What you’ll need to succeed

You are an experienced Warehouse /Storeman who has worked preferably within the mining industry. To be successful for this role, you will hold the following:

  • High Risk Forklift License
  • Current Coal Board Medical – or willing to obtain
  • Current Standard 11 Induction Training – or willing to obtain
  • Reside within a reasonable drive from the Bowen Basin
You will work well under pressure, have great organizational skills & enjoy working as part of a team.

What you’ll get in return

This casual job will reward you with an excellent hourly rate of $42.03 per hour on a Monday – Friday roster. Accommodation and meals will be provided while on site.

Please note this role is offered as a DIDO position for candidates residing within a reasonable drive from the Bowen Basin.

About the Bowen Basin mining region, Queensland.

The Queensland Bowen Basin contains the largest coal reserves in Australia. This major coal producing region contains one of the world’s largest deposits of bituminous coal.

The Basin contains much of the known Permian coal resources in Queensland including virtually all of the known mineable prime coking coal. It was named for the Bowen River, itself named after Queensland’s first Governor, Sir George Bowen.
