Your new role

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager you will be responsible for surveying within their underground operation. You will work with the technical team and contractors to maximize production targets whilst maintaining safety at all times. Your day to day duties will include but not limited to managing and maintaining the survey control database for underground operations, surveying of all mine headings and voids to produce plans and volumes, maintaining directional and grade control of all development headings. This role is residential to Mt Isa so applicants must be living locally or prepared to relocate.

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful it is essential that you have a tertiary qualification in Surveying and demonstrated underground hard rock experience. Ideally you will have a strong working knowledge of Surpac and Leica surveying equipment. As this role will require you to liaise with a range of operational staff it is vital that you have excellent written and verbal communications skills.
