DDH1 Drilling is a leading provider of deep hole directional drilling services. As a result of the company’s continued growth they are seeking suitably qualified experienced Drillers to join their Underground Division.
DDH1 are seeking experienced, professional underground diamond drillers who are searching to grow their careers. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a quality company who will provide exceptional industry remuneration along with meter bonus based on your skills experience.
As a member of the DDH1 drilling team you will be provided with ongoing training and development. They work under the “Zero Harm” policy and expect all drillers to have a passion for keeping their sites safe. It is essential that you have previous underground drilling experience as well as being a team player and a drive to succeed.
Essential factors for a successful application must include:
- Minimum of 2 years current drilling experience as an underground driller
- Certificate III in Drilling
- Exceptional communication skills
- Team orientated
- Ability to complete a rigorous pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
Core Capability Requirements.
- Directional Drilling experience (DHM, Wedging) highly regarded.
- Cert III Drilling
- C Class License / Truck License preferred but not essential
- Senior First Aid
- AFP – Nation police Clearance.
This is a field based FIFO role and rosters are based on business requirements. All work related travel, site accommodation and meals are provided.

Komatsu 830E Haul Truck
The Komatsu 830E is an ultra class dump truck used in Australian open pit mining operations an is designed and built in Peoria, Illinois by Komatsu America Corporation (parent company is the Japanese held company Komatsu Ltd.
The Komatsu 830E is a beast, with 231,000 kilogram capacity (255 short tons). Although this is a big truck, the 830E's load capacity is about 66% the capacity of the Liebherr T 282C and Caterpillar 797B.
This is an electric truck and is being featured in many new mining operations as well established mines in WA and QLD.The electric drive system is very different fromt the transmission/differential drive of traditional trucks. The diesel engine is connected to a GE traction alternator with high voltage cables transfering electricity to the two wheel motors at the rear of the truck.
