Since 1970, Marathon Tyres has been working towards excellence in the mining industry, as well as the construction, industrial, military and port sectors, supplying multiple leading brands, complete tyre management, tyre service and tyre repair.

Marathon Tyres are searching for a safety conscious person with demonstrated ability and experience on mine sites to fit and service tyres. Expect to be trained and assessed to the highest standard in industry best practice.

Based at the Hail Creek mine site which Marathon Tyres have been servicing since its opening in 2003.

Skills / experience

  • Preferably earthmover tyre fitting experience on mine sites
  • Certificate II or RII in Tyre Fitting Heavy
  • Driver’s license
  • Forklift license
  • Possess a high level of initiative and the ability to work well under pressure

Resources and Infrastructure Industry (RII)

Commonly refered to as Black Coal Competency (BCC), the RII competency is one that can be attained by an operator who has previously worked in the industry and has completed a number of operating hours on various types of machinery.

RII competency is granted to prove correct and safe operation of mine site machinery. It is a very useful qualification to have, as it confirms the operator has the required experience and expertise.
