System Technician Mining Jobs
WorkPac is searching for System Technicians for mining sites near Gladstone & Central QLD.
About the role :
WorkPac Professional are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Site Systems Technician who will form part of and contribute to the Mine Operations Department of a Bowen Basin Mine.
An absolute commitment to working safely, complying with all site safety standards and ensuring a safe and environmentally healthy workplace is essential. It is imperative that you possess the ability and aptitude to maintain high standards of safety, equipment serviceability, housekeeping and compliance with mine working procedures.
Within this position your duties will include :
- Maintain currency of the Mine Record
- Management of appointments (review and document management) and maintain currency of the Appointment register
- Support SHMS and Risk Management Specialists with reporting and improvements to Safety Health Management System
- Conduct Inter review of the SHMS compliance
- Management / updates to key SHMS documentation to support Site Systems Superintendents
Skills and Experiences :
- Minimum 6 months mine experience
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Experience using SAP and Hummingbird
- Standard 11 Induction Training Induction
- Coal Board Medical – conducted within 2 years
- Driver’s Licence
- Ability to contribute and work positively in a team environment
- Sound Work History

About the Bowen Basin mining region, Queensland.
The Queensland Bowen Basin contains the largest coal reserves in Australia. This major coal producing region contains one of the world’s largest deposits of bituminous coal.
The Basin contains much of the known Permian coal resources in Queensland including virtually all of the known mineable prime coking coal. It was named for the Bowen River, itself named after Queensland’s first Governor, Sir George Bowen.
The Bowen Basin covers a total area of over 60,000 square kilometres and is located in Central Queensland; running from Collinsville to Theodore. The entire region is home to many coal mines operated by multiple mining companies.
