Side Tipper Vehicles Operators Coal Mine Site Central QLD

About the roles

Reporting to a Site Supervisor, this role will be responsible for the day to day loading and haulage of coal on a mine site. The types of vehicles the team are utilizing are double and triple road train side tippers as well Cat 992 or WA900 Loaders.

Side Tipper Vehicles Operators Coal Mine Site Central QLD

Drive in/Drive out on a 7/7 which includes day and night shifts. Food and hotel/camp accommodation is provided in both Middlemount and Clermont.

Duties

  • Operation of Side Tipper Vehicles
  • Self-loading with Cat 992 or WA900 Loaders
  • Loading of trains as required
  • The transport of Coal within the mine site
  • Following Safe Operating Procedures within the vehicle and site

Skills & Experience

  • A current MC License
  • A current Loader Ticket
  • Side Tipper & Loader experience
  • Current Coal Board Medical and Standard 11 Induction Training – Statement of Attainment
  • A recent D&A Screen
  • The ability to provide a 5 year driver history from the Department of Transport

To be suitable to work on the Clermont site you must have the following Rii’s:

  • RIIVEH302D Operate Multi-Combination Vehicle
  • RIIMPO304D Conduct wheel loader operations

Commonly refered to as Black Coal Competency (BCC), the RII competency is one that can be attained by an operator who has previously worked in the industry and has completed a number of operating hours on various types of machinery.

RII competency is granted to prove correct and safe operation of mine site machinery. It is a very useful qualification to have, as it confirms the operator has the required experience and expertise.
