A successful and rapidly expanding underground hardrock operation in north QLD with a significant development pipeline seeks an accomplished Senior Mining Engineer to join their growing team.
Reporting to the Mining Manager, as Senior Mining Engineer you be focused on the technical leadership for a new underground development. Key accountability will include the successful delivery of short, medium and long term planning and scheduling for the Operations. You will also mentor production engineers, liaise with geotechnical engineers and assist in the successful achievement of production targets whilst ensuring best practice health and safety.
Working for a fast expanding mining company on their premier Queensland operation with exciting growth plans, you will operate on a short attractive roster offered on either a residential basis in a North Queensland regional centre or FIFO from anywhere in North Queensland. You will enjoy an attractive remuneration package including incentives within an empowering, team oriented work environment.
As the ideal candidate, you will be a tertiary qualified mining engineer with a successful track record in senior mining engineering appointments within underground hard rock operations. You will have strong technical proficiency across short and long term planning, including proficiency in mine planning software e.g. EPS, Surpac, etc.

Resources and Infrastructure Industry (RII)
Commonly refered to as Black Coal Competency (BCC), the RII competency is one that can be attained by an operator who has previously worked in the industry and has completed a number of operating hours on various types of machinery.
RII competency is granted to prove correct and safe operation of mine site machinery. It is a very useful qualification to have, as it confirms the operator has the required experience and expertise.
