SES are recruiting Scraper Operators for positions will based on a mine site in the southern end of the Bowen Basin.
- 7/7 Roster
- 12 hr days
The roles will operate on a drive in / out basis and accommodation and meals are provided whilst on site. The roles will see you work on a 7/7/ roster working day shifts only, 12hr shifts. The positions will be based on a mine site in the southern end of the Bowen Basin and will offer a strong rate of pay. Immediate starts on offer.
Their client has recently been awarded an earthworks package which has resulted in SES Labour Solutions having a number of roles coming up for experienced Scraper Operators for a client with a core focus on mine site infrastructure works.
To be considered you will demonstrate:
- 12 months Scraper experience

- Current Coal Board and Standard 11 *Standard 11 Training*
- Ability to pass D & A testing
- Strong safety awareness

The Bowen Basin contains the largest coal reserves in Australia. This major coal producing region contains one of the world’s largest deposits of bituminous coal.
The Basin contains much of the known Permian coal resources in Queensland including virtually all of the known mineable prime coking coal. It was named for the Bowen River, itself named after Queensland’s first Governor, Sir George Bowen.
The Bowen Basin covers an area of over 60,000 square kilometres in Central Queensland running from Collinsville to Theodore and is dotted with many coal mines operated by multiple mining companies.
Resources and Infrastructure Industry (RII)
Commonly refered to as Black Coal Competency (BCC), the RII competency is one that can be attained by an operator who has previously worked in the industry and has completed a number of operating hours on various types of machinery.
RII competency is granted to prove correct and safe operation of mine site machinery. It is a very useful qualification to have, as it confirms the operator has the required experience and expertise.
You can transfer your nationally recognised civil Excavator, Front End Loader or Dozer tickets only to RII Black Coal Competencies.
Standard 11 Mining Induction
The Standard 11 is a workplace health and safety package for the Resources and Infrastructure Industry (RII).
If your job means you must access a a Queensland coal mine site - you'll need a Standard 11.
The Standard 11 covers essential safety and procedures training designed to keep you and other workers safe from injury and harm when working on site.
