Canex, a Specialist Provider of Workforce Solutions is sourcing a Floating Crew of 8 Mechanical and Diesel Fitters with a minimum of 3 years mining experience that can commence immediately on Shutdown work in the Blackwater and Rolleston mining towns.

Successful Candidates must have

  • Own tools, PPE and transport to and from the Bowen Basin region, have a G1 Generic
  • Standard 11 Induction Training Induction and current Coal Board Medical.
  • Inductions at Curragh, Clermont and Rolleston are advantageous and will escalate your application with  Recruitment Team.

About the Bowen Basin mining region, Queensland.

The Queensland Bowen Basin contains the largest coal reserves in Australia. This major coal producing region contains one of the world’s largest deposits of bituminous coal.

The Basin contains much of the known Permian coal resources in Queensland including virtually all of the known mineable prime coking coal. It was named for the Bowen River, itself named after Queensland’s first Governor, Sir George Bowen.
