Programmed Professionals is currently seeking a Mine Controller for a role with major Blue Chip mining client. The purpose of this position is to support on-site mining operations by using Fleet Management Software to coordinate the dispatch of mining equipment and personnel.
The main responsibilities of this role will be:
- Real time dispatching of mining equipment and personnel to ensure efficient use of resources
- Ensuring the Fleet Management System is used to its full capacity
- Prioritizing between conflicting demands
- Liaising with mine schedulers, maintenance personnel and other stakeholders
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:
- A competent and experienced user of either Leica/Jigsaw or Mine star Fleet Management System
- Experience in a mine/dispatch control role
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- A strong commitment to safety
- ‘C’ Class Drivers License

Resources and Infrastructure Industry (RII)
Commonly refered to as Black Coal Competency (BCC), the RII competency is one that can be attained by an operator who has previously worked in the industry and has completed a number of operating hours on various types of machinery.
RII competency is granted to prove correct and safe operation of mine site machinery. It is a very useful qualification to have, as it confirms the operator has the required experience and expertise.
