PROGRAMMED Skilled Workforce urgently seeking qualified Heavy Duty Fitters with strong mining experience to work with an industry leading Iron Ore company based in the Pilbara. The successful candidate will be working a 2 weeks on 1 week off FIFO roster from Perth, Karratha (DIDO), Port Hedland and Kununurra.

Successful candidates will have previous experience within the mining industry; You will be required to carry out preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs and fault finding and maintain, service and repair their fleet of the following;

Drills:

  • SK16, DML Pit Viper, Cubex

Excavator:

Terex RH340 FS/B, Liebherr: R9250 – R996

Selection Criteria:

  • Australian Recognized Heavy Duty trade qualification
  • Air Conditioning Ticket (preferred)
  • Current HR driver’s license
  • Previous experience is essential within a Mining/Construction environment
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Be able to pass pre-employment medicals and drug & alcohol screens
  • Hold valid working rights within Australia

Resources and Infrastructure Industry (RII)

Commonly refered to as Black Coal Competency (BCC), the RII competency is one that can be attained by an operator who has previously worked in the industry and has completed a number of operating hours on various types of machinery.

RII competency is granted to prove correct and safe operation of mine site machinery. It is a very useful qualification to have, as it confirms the operator has the required experience and expertise.
