iMINCO Tip:

Give yourself every opportunity to get this job. If you are applying for the Mader Heavy Diesel Fitters – Heavy Diesel Mechanics jobs, don’t send in your usual resume and cover letter; think about doing a bit of work on it first.

Why?

Because if you don’t make your resume read like it was targeted to the job, your application could be automatically rejected.

For starters, always match the first page of your resume to the details of the job. Look through the job ad for keywords and add them into your resume because if you don’t, your application may be scanned and rejected before it even gets read by a human.

So in this case, you’ll need to have a current Standard 11 Induction Training and other site inductions, a trade certificate, a Supervisor qualification like the S1, S2 and S3. Just including these words in your cover letter and placing them at the top of your resume can make a huge difference.

Mining companies, recruiters and labour hire companies can often use software to scan your resume for the very keywords they put in the job ad. If there’s a mismatch – chances are your application will be ignored and you’ll miss out on the job.

Get the iMINCO guides to help your application land on the desk of a real human who will see you have what it takes to do this job.

Try it…. you’ll not regret it.
