Experienced Underground Mining Operators and Trades Assistant Kestrel – QLD

  • Long term secure contract
  • Residential positions – be home every night!
  • $63.50 per hour Operators
  • $73.00 per hour Fitters
  • $75.00 per hour Electricians

Techserve has partnered with Rio Tinto Kestrel Mine to provide skilled labour for conveyor installation / infrastructure works at the mine. Both organizations have a strong commitment to a culture of safety and team work in all areas of mine operations.

Kestrel Mine seeks to be more than just a major source of local employment and economic growth, rather to work in partnership with the local community to help provide positive and sustainable outcomes for the Emerald region – their objective is to develop strong values based teams who live out the ideas of safety, teamwork, respect, integrity and excellence.

Currently searching for experienced undergrounds workers, with Standard 11 Induction Training (Surface and UG), CBM and a minimum of 12 months underground coal experience. At this stage there are no clean-skin positions available.

Minimum Requirements include:

  • Underground Machinery Loader Tickets
  • Must have belt install/maintenance experience; and/or
  • Concreting experience;

Fitters

  • Australian Recognized Trade Certificate
  • DES Competencies Desirable
  • Post-Trade Hydraulic Competencies

Electricians

  • Australian Recognized Trade Certificate
  • EEHA
  • LVR CPR
  • HV Switching / Instrumentation Advantageous
