Executive General Manager Underground mining Job

• Reports directly to Managing Director

• $250K all-inclusive salary package + STI’s

Established in 1996, ASX listed in 2010 and with an average annual turnover of $200M, the Mastermyne Group of Companies’ team of 900+ work across the east coast of Australia. A foundation in underground mining, over past years they have diversified into other sectors including resources, ports, industrial and infrastructure. They are seeking a General Manager to lead the Mastertec division and along with the Senior Leadership Team, deliver a five-year strategy to become a world-class provider of contracting services.

About the Role

Mastertec operates under three main business areas Consumables, Access Solutions and Protective Coatings (Blast and Paint) across QLD and NSW. Reporting to the Managing Director, the General Manager Mastertec will be responsible for delivering operational and safety leadership, operational and financial performance, risk and quality management and growth.

This General Manager role is critical in driving future success of the Mastertec business and further developing its operations in QLD and NSW. Working in collaboration with company executives, you will develop and grow the Mastertec core business by implementing new strategies for future business growth based on short-term and long-term goals. Through this strategic and commercial leadership, and proven performance in divisional P&L management, you will set your team up for success in achieving optimum profitability, and as a result will grow Mastertec revenue and EBIT to meet shareholder expectations.

You will demonstrate hands-on leadership on project operations and can spot and enact new opportunities and synergies derived through existing mining operations and client relationships. Your sharp operational acumen will compliment your strategic thinking and a belief that there people are the foundation of our success.
