Excavator Coal Mining site Digger Fitter Maintenance FIFO QLD-iMINCO.net Mining Information

If you are a Excavator/Digger Fitter with OEM machine experience who has worked on a coal site in the last 24 months.

You must have excellent fault finding / diagnostic ability as you would be working on heavy mining equipment – mostly with Liebherr and Hitachi.

You will report to an onsite maintenance supervisor and complete all tasks and work schedules as needed. All work is to be done in accordance with site rules and regulations.

You must have previous coal site experience – within the last 24 months and be able to produce your SC/8000 number for validation of RII’s. Coal Board medicals & Standard 11 Induction Training WAF or 180 day lockout is not a problem and can be done before commencing.

To be successful:

  • 5+ years mining experience on Excavators (Leibherr and Hitachi)
  • Trade certificate
  • Exceptional and proven Troubleshooting / Diagnostic Skills
  • QLD Coal Board Medical
  • Standard 11 Induction Training
  • Valid C Class drivers license
  • Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol test

Resources and Infrastructure Industry (RII)

Commonly refered to as Black Coal Competency (BCC), the RII competency is one that can be attained by an operator who has previously worked in the industry and has completed a number of operating hours on various types of machinery.

RII competency is granted to prove correct and safe operation of mine site machinery. It is a very useful qualification to have, as it confirms the operator has the required experience and expertise.
