$100 million win for Downer EDI with new 2 year BMA contract

Downer EDI, an�Australian engineering and infrastructure management services provider has announced on the ASX that it has won a two-year A$100 million mining services contract Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA). The contract is for its Blackwater coal mine in the Central Queensland Bowen Basin.

According to the company`s ASX announcement, it’ll start work at the mine in July 2015; plus the contract has an option for one more year extension.

BMA operates seven mines in the Bowen Basin.

  • Goonyella Riverside
  • Broadmeadow
  • Daunia
  • Peak Downs
  • Saraji
  • Crinum
  • Blackwater; and
  • Caval Ridge and the Hay Point Coal Terminal near Mackay.
