DIESEL FITTERS Australian Bearings Corporation Pty Ltd, trading as, ABC Heavy Engineering is a locally owned and operated company, Over the past 30 years, the company, through its ingenuity and commitment to research and development programs, has developed into a major supplier of a wide range of services to the Mining, Sugar and Agricultural Industries, as well as the Civil Sector and Sea Ports, both in Australia and overseas.

This is an exciting and challenging role for an experienced Diesel Fitter to carry out the following tasks within Site Workshop. This position is an immediate start. DIDO with camp accommodation provided 6/6 Roster.

Routine services and maintenance repairs (necessary and preventative maintenance) on Trucks and 4WDs Fault diagnosis both electrical and hydraulic Maintain accurate records of work completed Be able to communicate with drivers and management and to be able to prioritize work in a very busy environment.

To be considered for this role, candidates must:

  • Trade qualified diesel mechanic with previous experience in a similar role
  • Current BMA Core Induction – desirable Current
  • Coal Board Medical – desirable
  • Current Saraji site Induction – desirable
  • Current Drivers license
  • Have an ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
  • Have a positive attitude with a motivation to success
  • Strong safety focus and commitment
