Position Summary: 

The GO2 People are looking for experienced Overhead Crane Operators who are capable of working within a safe manner whilst moving stock around the warehouse. This role will have Forklift duties as well as manual handling as part of it.

To be successful for Crane Operator Jobs Sydney, you will need the following experience:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Operate a Crane to load and unload trucks and store the materials also to pick metal and place on production machines
  • Hold a current Forklift licence AND have a min of 12 months recent experience [essential]
  • Experience operating cranes to move loads
  • Crane Operation experience, within the steel industry ( Not essential but preferred)
  • experience in a warehousing environment
  • Be self-motivated
  • Have your own reliable transport
  • Pass a drug and alcohol test

Essential:

  • Experience as a Machine Operator
  • Good attention to detail skills
  • Strong measuring skills
  • Experience using hand and power tools
  • Experience working in manufacturing or trade environment
  • Reliable, trustworthy, flexible and dependable
  • Right to Work in Australia
  • Knowledge of Production Procedures
  • Ability to work and communicate well with others
  • Computer literate

Their Client who is a leader in their field is looking to expand their team. They are currently looking for an experienced crane and forklift operator who has experience in the steel industry to join their team. Located in Southwest Sydney with an immediate start.

The Bowen Basin contains the largest coal reserves in Australia. This major coal producing region contains one of the world’s largest deposits of bituminous coal.

The Basin contains much of the known Permian coal resources in Queensland including virtually all of the known mineable prime coking coal. It was named for the Bowen River, itself named after Queensland’s first Governor, Sir George Bowen.

The Bowen Basin covers an area of over 60,000 square kilometres in Central Queensland running from Collinsville to Theodore and is dotted with many coal mines operated by multiple mining companies.

Resources and Infrastructure Industry (RII)

Commonly refered to as Black Coal Competency (BCC), the RII competency is one that can be attained by an operator who has previously worked in the industry and has completed a number of operating hours on various types of machinery.

RII competency is granted to prove correct and safe operation of mine site machinery. It is a very useful qualification to have, as it confirms the operator has the required experience and expertise.
