Underground Mining Operator 7/7 Roster Bowen Basin QLD
Experienced Underground Operators required for works in Tieri, 7/7 day/night roster on a 6 month project. The client specializes in Mining, Manufacturing & Ventilation. They have successfully completed large projects in Development, Out bye, Secondary Support, Long wall Support & Conveyor Installations
Your new role
They are seeking people that are motivated and driven to meet deadlines. The client has a 6 month project broken into 3 sections working 8 week stages with a bonus structure in place at the end of each 8 week stint. You will be either completing belt monitoring or mucking and working 12 hr days on a 7/7 Roster rotating days and nights. You will be rewarded with an hourly rate based on your level of experience.

- Underground Standard 11 Induction Training
- 1+ Years’ experience
- Confined Space
- RII’s for Underground Equipment, ideal tickets include
- Continuous Miner Tickets
- QDS & Hand Held Bolters
- LHD Tickets
- Miner Bolter Tickets
- Multi Bolter Tickets
- Shuttle Car Tickets
- Development/Fault Drive-age Experience
This role is not an entry level position, they do require you to have experience working on a QLD Coal Mine Underground Environment

About the Bowen Basin mining region, Queensland.
The Queensland Bowen Basin contains the largest coal reserves in Australia. This major coal producing region contains one of the world’s largest deposits of bituminous coal.
The Basin contains much of the known Permian coal resources in Queensland including virtually all of the known mineable prime coking coal. It was named for the Bowen River, itself named after Queensland’s first Governor, Sir George Bowen.
The Bowen Basin covers a total area of over 60,000 square kilometres and is located in Central Queensland; running from Collinsville to Theodore. The entire region is home to many coal mines operated by multiple mining companies.

Resources and Infrastructure Industry (RII)
Commonly refered to as Black Coal Competency (BCC), the RII competency is one that can be attained by an operator who has previously worked in the industry and has completed a number of operating hours on various types of machinery.
RII competency is granted to prove correct and safe operation of mine site machinery. It is a very useful qualification to have, as it confirms the operator has the required experience and expertise.
