Underground Mining Operations Bogger Operator FIFO Perth
Tanami Operations, 540km north-west of Alice Springs, are on Aboriginal freehold land, in the NT’s remote Tanami Desert. A fully equipped 1000-bed village, 40km from the mine, offers modern leisure facilities to the workforce who FIFO direct from Perth, Darwin and Alice Springs.

The Role
Reporting to the Mining Supervisor, the Bogger Operator is responsible for operating a bogger to clear and load blasted materials from stopes or draw points in an efficient and safe manner.
The role is based in Tanami and offers a 2 week on/1 week off FIFO roster from Perth, Darwin & Alice Springs ONLY.
Key accountability include but are not limited to:
- Follow rules related to safety standards and practices.
- Conduct pre-start checks of equipment and work area.
- Bog blasted material to trucks or stockpiles as per specifications and plans.
- Coordinate truck requirements with Underground Supervisor and Mine Controller.
- Adhere to all Newmont Maintenance department procedures and job requirements.
- Required to operate machinery underground.
The Person
- Current Drivers License
- Previous underground bogging experience
- Previous remote bogging experience
- Sound knowledge, skills and experience in underground mining
- Strong communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining and safe working environment
- Proven ability to contribute to team outcomes
To be considered for this role, you must be able to meet the site access requirements by having a current driver’s license, passing a police clearance and pre-employment medical inclusive of Drug & Alcohol Testing both pre-employment and random periodical testing when onsite.
