Rope Access Riggers – Shutdown – Boddington

  • Shutdown: 30th June – 8th July 2018
  • Rope Access Riggers
  • 12-hour shifts – day-shift & night-shift available

Multidisciplinary service offering includes the traditional services of scaffolding, rope access, insulation, protective coatings & blasting and passive fire protection as well as specialist services such as refractory, asbestos management, and advanced industrial cleaning and vaccumation of heat exchangers, pipes, tanks and vessels using high pressure water and chemicals.

The Project

The Newmont operated Boddington Gold Mine is located 130kms south-east of Perth in Western Australia. Cape Australia provides ongoing access support, which will service maintenance operations and planned shutdowns.

The Role and Requirements

They are seeking applications from suitably experienced and qualified Rope Access Riggers (All Levels) for an upcoming shutdown scheduled to commence on the 30th June to 8th of July. Successful candidates will have an option to mobilize to site on the 29th of June to join the shutdown team.

Both DIDO and FIFO applicants will be considered with accommodation provided at a purpose-built camp.

Following on from the completion of this shutdown, Cape Australia will have immediate opportunities across multiple major projects and ongoing maintenance contracts in a FIFO and local capacity. All successful candidates will be considered for the above.

To be considered you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Minimum 12 months proven experience
  • Previous experience within the mining & resources industry is preferred
  • Current Level 3 IRATA
  • Current Working at Heights & Confined Space Entry (less than 2 years old)
  • Hold a nationally accredited OHS Card (White/Blue Card)
  • Ability to pass a project specific pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen
