Roller Operator Civil labourer Northern Suburbs Melbourne
The client is currently seeking for skilled and experienced Roller Operator to work in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne. You will be working on a variety of sites including construction of car parks, subdivisions, road rehabilitation and bridges.
As an experience, civil labourer / roller operator your duties will include
- Working with levels / string lines and carrying out basic levelling
- Undertaking daily pre start checks on roller machine prior to commencing operation
- Working with excavators whilst assisting them with boxing out of roads
- Laying of conduits and aggy drains
- Manual labouring including shovel work and manual excavation
- Assisting with trenching and laying of pipe
- Assisting with laying of kerb and channel
- Assisting with pavement works
- General Labouring work
- Operating both pad foot and smooth drum rollers
- Working in conjunction with other mobile plant
Roller Operator Civil labourer Northern Suburbs Melbourne
The successful candidate must have
- Red/White card
- Minimum of 3 years civil construction experience
- Proven roller operating experience including roller competency ticket
- Rail Industry Workers Card (RIW) as some works requires to work in a rail environment
- Ability follow instructions and show initiative
- Own transport and drivers license
- Be willing to undertake some laborious duties
- Good understanding of pavements and compaction
