Auto Electricians Jobs – FIFO

Available rosters include 2 weeks on/1 week off or 14/10/13/11 (days) FIFO from Perth. Pay rates are very competitive and there is the possibility of temp to perm opportunities.

Qualified Auto Electricians Maintenance FIFO Pilbara

Experience carrying out preventative maintenance, repairs, fault finding/diagnosis and service work on the following equipment will be highly regarded:

  • Dump Trucks CAT 789, 793, Komatsu 730E, 830E, 930E, Hitachi EH5000, Terex MT 3300, 4400, 6300.
  • Dozers CAT D1011T, WE 854
  • Graders CAT 16-24
  • Loaders CAT 992, 993, 994, WA 1200 LeTourneau 1850, 2350
  • Excavators/Shovels (Komatsu, Hitachi, Terex & Leibherr) 250ton+
  • CAT, Atlas Copco and Sandvik Drill Rigs
  • Light Trucks, Utes, 4WDs, Buses
  • Cranes, forklifts, EWPs
  • Lighting Plant
  • Small civil plant

Applicants will only be considered if they meet the minimum requirements below:

  • Australian Recognized Auto Electrical trade qualification
  • Current Australian Driver’s License
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Be able to pass pre-employment medicals and drug & alcohol screens
  • Hold valid working rights within Australia

Most mine sites have great accommodation facilities available, including access to a fully equipped gym, sports oval, swimming pool, tennis/basketball court.

      The 793F has a load cpacityof 226.8 ton (US) and a top speed of 60 kilometres an hour. It's a turbocharged air-to-air aftercooled diesel engine that has enhanced power management capability for maximum hauling performance. The C175-16 is a 16-cylinder, four-stroke design that uses long, effective power strokes for optimum efficiency.

      Caterpillar Haul truck 789

      The Caterpillar 789 dump truck is typically used in open pit mining. The 789 has a capacity of 177 tonnes, and its engine can produce 1770 horsepower.

      There are hundreds of CAT 789 dump trucks on various mine sites in Australia; working hard in open-cut coal mines as well as hauling raw iron ore dirt across the open, dusty mine sites of Western Australia.

      Komatsu 830E Haul Truck

      The Komatsu 830E is an ultra class dump truck used in Australian open pit mining operations an is designed and built in Peoria, Illinois by Komatsu America Corporation (parent company is the Japanese held company Komatsu Ltd.

      The Komatsu 830E is a beast, with 231,000 kilogram capacity (255 short tons). Although this is a big truck, the 830E's load capacity is about 66% the capacity of the Liebherr T 282C and Caterpillar 797B.

      This is an electric truck and is being featured in many new mining operations as well established mines in WA and QLD.

      The electric drive system is very different fromt the transmission/differential drive of traditional trucks. The diesel engine is connected to a GE traction alternator with high voltage cables transfering electricity to the two wheel motors at the rear of the truck.
