Your new role

You will be responsible for the efficient operation of plant and equipment associated with the management of waste products and landfill operations.

This will include:

  • Process solid and/or liquid waste through transfer station site safely
  • Sample and conduct analysis on waste products
  • Perform loading and unloading duties of waste by forklift or other plant equipment
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are safe to use and stored correctly
  • Undertake general daily maintenance
  • Diagnose and rectify faults in plant and/or equipment

Your skills and experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • HR license and associated tickets for mobile plant, loader/excavator an advantage.
  • Moderate experience operating earth moving equipment
  • Strong customer service ethic
  • Pride in maintenance and presentation of equipment along with a strong commitment to safety
  • Ability to meet delivery outcome, supported by accurate record keeping skills
  • Experience in waste industry would be an advantage, as would a First Aid Certificate
