Face Mining Services is currently seeking Open Cut Surface Coal Personnel for roles in Production, Processing and Maintenance.
Heavy Earthmoving Operators
- Water Truck Operators
- Grader Operators
- Excavator Operators
- Dozer Operators
Trades
- Electricians
- Refrigeration Mechanics
- Heavy Diesel Fitters
- Auto Electricians
- Boilermakers
Processing
- CHPP/Machinery experience (Dozer operating experience)
- Fixed plant fitters
- Electricians
These roles are:
- Based around NSW and Queensland region
- Variety of rosters available
- FIFO / DIDO for Queensland region
- Accommodation and meals provided
- Future employment & career growth opportunities in the mining industry.
Role requirements:
- Current Coal Board Medical
- Current Supervisor experience
- RIIs and associated paperwork
- Experience in open cut mining operations within the coal industry
- Evidence of previous experience on a mine site (e.g. Site Competencies/Training Transcript/Licenses and Qualifications) are held in high regards
- Sound mechanical knowledge – preference for heavy mobile/fixed machinery
- High Adaptability to change as the operation progresses
- Excellent team player with strong communication skills both written and verbal

Resources and Infrastructure Industry (RII)
Commonly refered to as Black Coal Competency (BCC), the RII competency is one that can be attained by an operator who has previously worked in the industry and has completed a number of operating hours on various types of machinery.
RII competency is granted to prove correct and safe operation of mine site machinery. It is a very useful qualification to have, as it confirms the operator has the required experience and expertise.
