MT4400 Dump Truck Jobs Mackay

Immediate Start, 7/7 Roster, Ongoing Role

WorkPac are searching for Dump Truck Drivers to operate MT4400’s for work across the Bowen Basin.

Pre-requisites for the role include:

  • Minimum 12 months experience operating Electric Dump Trucks (MT4400 or Similar)
  • Current Standard 11 Induction Training
  • Coal Board Medical
  • Driver’s Licence
  • A willingness to work rotating rosters
  • Applicants will need to be able to pass a pre-employment medical.

The Newlands open cut coal mine in the Bowen Basin Region of Central Queensland, that is located 200 kilometres from Mackay, supplies up to eight million tonnes of hard coking coal to steel mills in Asia and Europe each year.

      The Queensland Bowen Basin contains the largest coal reserves in Australia. This major coal producing region contains one of the world’s largest deposits of bituminous coal.

      The Basin contains much of the known Permian coal resources in Queensland including virtually all of the known mineable prime coking coal. It was named for the Bowen River, itself named after Queensland’s first Governor, Sir George Bowen.

      The Bowen Basin covers a total area of over 60,000 square kilometres and is located in Central Queensland; running from Collinsville to Theodore. The entire region is home to many coal mines operated by multiple mining companies.
