This organization is an industry leader employing a wide range of trades and skilled individuals to join their team. A fantastic opportunity has opened for an experienced Rigger to join this client in the Bowen Basin

The role

This position is working within the CHPP Department at a mine close to Moranbah. You will be replacing pipes, pumps and other components of the CHPP as well as daily inspections.

What you’ll need to succeed

Previous experience in a similar role. You will have a standard 11 and coal board medical completed within the last 2 years. You must hold confined space and Working at Heights ticket and have overhead and non slew crane experience; Mine inductions will be beneficial

About the Bowen Basin mining region, Queensland.

The Queensland Bowen Basin contains the largest coal reserves in Australia. This major coal producing region contains one of the world’s largest deposits of bituminous coal.

The Basin contains much of the known Permian coal resources in Queensland including virtually all of the known mineable prime coking coal. It was named for the Bowen River, itself named after Queensland’s first Governor, Sir George Bowen.

The Bowen Basin covers a total area of over 60,000 square kilometres and is located in Central Queensland; running from Collinsville to Theodore. The entire region is home to many coal mines operated by multiple mining companies.
