About the Role
WorkPac Professional have an exciting opportunity for a experienced Trainer/ Assessor for an Immediate Start within the Bowen Basin. This position will be ongoing, on a 5/4/4/5 roster with an immediate start. Camp and Meals provided if required.
Duties:
Running of the site inductions for all new workers commencing on site and safety instructions
Maintain safety matrix and all documentation as required
Comply with the companies Health and Safety System, Client requirements and other applicable laws and regulations
Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you will have:.
Cert IV TAE (or industry experience equivalent) (Essential);
Minimum of 3 years within an TAE Advisor role and related experience in mining or similarly related industry sectors.
Knowledge of Health and Safety issues, legislation and HSE management systems;
SAP Experience – Highly Regarded
Interpersonal skills with high quality written and verbal communication skills;

The Queensland Bowen Basin contains the largest coal reserves in Australia. This major coal producing region contains one of the world’s largest deposits of bituminous coal.

The Basin contains much of the known Permian coal resources in Queensland including virtually all of the known mineable prime coking coal. It was named for the Bowen River, itself named after Queensland’s first Governor, Sir George Bowen.

The Bowen Basin covers a total area of over 60,000 square kilometres and is located in Central Queensland; running from Collinsville to Theodore. The entire region is home to many coal mines operated by multiple mining companies.
