MRV Metals is a fully owned subsidiary of ASX listed Moreton Resources Limited. The company is rapidly moving into operations post Mining Lease grant, and is expected to reach full operations in processing areas within the next two months, followed by commissioning of major crusher refurbishment in March and rounded out by mobilization and mining commencement, in April 2018. They therefore seek a highly skilled, energetic and dedicated mining professional to fulfill the role of Superintendent of Operations.

This is a residential role based in Texas, Queensland and will work a roster pattern over a 4 weeks period, working a Monday to Friday roster, with one weekend in four on site, allowing for coverage which in turn allows for once a month, a 4 day long weekend.

Being a residential role based in Texas you will get to enjoy the lifestyle Texas has to offer. The town of Texas is perched on the banks of the peaceful Dumaresq River, within close proximity to the major regional towns of Goondiwindi, Stanthopre and Warwick. It is a well serviced community of approx. 1,100 people with modern medical, schooling and business facilities which relies predominantly upon the agricultural industries. Within the region you will find excellent fishing, great camping spots and the serenity of rural landscapes that make this location a family friendly and hospitable community, with strong support for the MRV Metals project, throughout the township and surrounds.

In this role you will have the following key accountability:

• Initial oversight of the contracting/procurement and delivery functions of a major refurbishment of the crushing and screening area on site.
• Determination upon contract / owner operator mining activities including scopes, costings, contract awards and/or fleet selection and mobilization
• Oversight and Management of the day to day Mining and Crushing functions to ensure production targets are achieved in the most cost effective means whilst being uncompromising on safety.
• Be the appointed Senior Site Executive for the operations upon site whilst the General Manager is on extended leave.
• Ensure robust data capture, analysis and operating parameters are monitored to understand trends and put corrective actions in place where required.
• Ensure that Plant and Equipment is operated to achieve maximum efficiency and implement strategies to continually refine and improve performance.
• Develop and implement effective communications with well-defined accountability between the wider site team.
• Implementation of weekly and monthly plans and follow up with reporting and variance intervention and rectification.
• Develop and manage the monthly and yearly planning budgets and output forecasting, including month by month variance reporting.
• Management of contractors/business partners to minimize cost exposure to the company whilst ensuring production and quality targets are met

To be successful for this role you must demonstrate your ability to meet the following criteria:

• Relevant Tertiary and Qualifications in Mining and/or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Demonstrated ability to identify, coach and mentor team members for their professional development and strengthen overall team capabilities
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team safely and improve team safety awareness
• Demonstrated ability to decision make, problem solve and to take accountability and responsibility for the outcomes of your area of control

Fixed Annual Remuneration: up to $120,000 per annum inclusive of Super is offered with relocation assistance for the successful candidate.
