Moolarben Coal Operations is a joint venture operated by Yancoal Australia Limited in Mudgee, New South Wales. With the vision to become one of the country’s largest and most technologically advanced coal mining companies, Yancoal is growing organically and through targeted acquisition. The Moolarben Coal Mine consist of an existing Open Cut Coal Mine and CHPP approved to produce 13mtpa Run of Mine (ROM). In addition, Moolarben has commenced production of its first Underground Longwall Mine.

Job tasks and responsibilities

They are offering excellent opportunities for Mechanical Technicians within the Open Cut Maintenance Department. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

• Safely performing all Maintenance tasks on their mobile plant such as diagnostic work, Electric/Mechanical drive Truck Maintenance, Field Maintenance on Hydraulic Excavators and general servicing.

Skills and experience

• An exceptional commitment to safest
• Trade qualifications – Mechanical
• High Risk Work Licenses (FL, WP, CN, DG, etc
• Ability and desire to work well within a multi skilled team environment
• The ability to work rotating rosters including night shift
• Willingness to reside within 100kms of site
• Heavy mobile plant maintenance experience: Komatsu/Liebherr/Caterpillar/Atlas Copc
