Mechanical Shift Supervisor – Lake Coal

An opportunity exists for a motivated, safety driven leader with relevant qualifications and experience to join the Lake Coal team in a challenging and varied role based at Chain Valley Colliery in the Newcastle / Lake Macquarie area.

Reporting directly to the�Mechanical Engineering Manager and working directly with Lake Coal management team, you will undertake, coordinate and manage all aspects of SAFETY and mining operations to compliment �the management team at Lake Coal.

In addition, you will have the ability to work as a key leader and role model and be able to communicate with your fellow workers well.� High levels of emotional intelligence would be highly regarded.

As a key member of the management team you must accept accountability and responsibility of executing the daily plan and drive the management outcomes.

As with all management roles, from time to time it’s going to get stressful,� yet as a professional, it’s expected you can handle this and prioritise the workload accordingly.

�The successful candidate MUST have

  • Safety Driven attitude
  • Proven Leadership ability
  • Supervisory experience in a similar role
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in underground coal industry
  • Mechanical trade qualification
  • Post trade qualifications

You will have the opportunity to drive long term outcomes in Lake Coal’s expanding business.
