Chandler Macleod are currently recruiting experienced civil/production operators for an initial short term contract in the northern goldfields, the key responsibilities will be road construction for flood mitigation, stripping top soil and other normal pit duties.

Key requirements include:

  • Strong experience on Cat 777 and 793 Dump trucks, 16M graders, D10 Dozer, 992 loaders and PC1250 excavators
  • Willingness to help out with all plant equipment
  • Positive track record as an Operator
  • Valid C class driver’s license as a minimum
  • Ability to pass a Pre-employment Medical & Drug and Alcohol screen
  • National police clearance within the last 6 months

You will demonstrate your commitment to safety and use your experience and judgement to ensure yourself and your workmates stay safe. Your ability to set good examples of work ethic and integrity together with your positive mind set in dealing with work and people will be highly regarded.

      Caterpillar Haul truck 777

      The Caterpillar 777 is a 100-ton haul truck, typically used in open pit mining, manufactured by Caterpillar Inc. The first model of Caterpillar 777 was introduced in 1974. Its diesel engine is capable of putting out 870 horsepower. The 777D, introduced in 1996, was powered by a 938-horsepower diesel.

      This truck is one of the entry-level haul trucks most new operators will learn on. Once competent, they will move up to the larger 785, especially when working on a coal mining site.

      The 793F has a load cpacityof 226.8 ton (US) and a top speed of 60 kilometres an hour. It's a turbocharged air-to-air aftercooled diesel engine that has enhanced power management capability for maximum hauling performance.
