Fitters Rockhampton Workshop Shutdown

Fitters to work with a very good company that rewards it staff and pays excellent penalty rates. They are seeking Fitters with experience working on underground mining equipment (does not have to be experience on a mine site).
You will be working for a sought after mining company based in Rockhampton and offer competitive pay and conditions.

Fitters Underground Mining Shutdown Rockhampton

To be successful you will be required to have the following

  • Mining Experience or good hydraulics
  • Trade Qualified
  • Early November job start
  • Fork lift advantageous

In return you will be offered the following

  • Competitive rates of pay
  • 10 – 12hr days
  • 3 – 4 weeks – view to extend
  • Penalty rates
  • $43.76 + per hour + penalties

This company also does mine site work so there may be opportunities for this work in the future. These roles are starting immediately.

Caterpillar Haul truck 777

The Caterpillar 777 is a 100-ton haul truck, typically used in open pit mining, manufactured by Caterpillar Inc. The first model of Caterpillar 777 was introduced in 1974. Its diesel engine is capable of putting out 870 horsepower. The 777D, introduced in 1996, was powered by a 938-horsepower diesel.

This truck is one of the entry-level haul trucks most new operators will learn on. Once competent, they will move up to the larger 785, especially when working on a coal mining site.
