Final Trim Excavator Operators Mining Job Cairns QLD

Innotech Site Services are currently seeking experienced/certified Final Trim Excavator Operators for an on going project in Weipa. The role is a FIFO based role on a 3:1 Roster. The successful applicants must be available to work 20 days on and 8 days off with half days on Sundays.

Travel to and from site will be on the first and last day of R&R. Flights from major city airports are covered along with accommodation requirements.

The role is working on a project which includes the construction of a range of infrastructure required to support mining including a processing plant and port near Boyd Bay, a dam, tailings storage facility, roads and a ferry terminal on the Hey River to transport workers from Weipa to the mine.

Duties

Duties will include but not limited to: Operating Final Trim 8T-36T CAT excavators on the project.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years experience in Civil or Mining role
  • Current OHS Ticket or RII for Excavator
  • HC license is highly regarded
  • Previous experience working with
  • Dogging/rigging ticket highly regarded
  • Pipework Projects is mandatory
  • Current resume with 2 x work related references
  • Availability to work a FIFO role from capital cities

Resources and Infrastructure Industry (RII)

Commonly refered to as Black Coal Competency (BCC), the RII competency is one that can be attained by an operator who has previously worked in the industry and has completed a number of operating hours on various types of machinery.

RII competency is granted to prove correct and safe operation of mine site machinery. It is a very useful qualification to have, as it confirms the operator has the required experience and expertise.
