Experienced Heavy Mobile Mining Operators – Brisbane QLD

WorkPac are currently seeking experienced/certified Operators for an contract role in Weipa. They are urgently seeking, Excavator, Water Cart/Moxy, Dozer and Scraper Operators The roles are FIFO out of Brisbane and Cairns however other locations may be considered.

The Successful candidates MUST have previous experience operating CAT &/or Komatsu equipment and have 2+ years proven experience working in the civil or mining industry. The role is working on a Tailings dam doing a Dam wall lift on a 2:1 Roster.

Duties:

Duties will include but not limited to: 14M-24M or equivalent Graders, D6 – D7 or equivalent Dozers, 992 – 994 740 equivalent Water Carts, CAT623GK or equivalent Scrapers, CAT329 Excavator.

Skills and Experience

• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
• Current resume with 2 x work related references
• Availability to work a FIFO role from Brisbane or Cairns
• Have current First Aid and CPR or willing to obtain
• Have RII for Apply Risk Management
• Have current RII or OHS tickets for Machinery
• Available to work days & nights on a 2 week on, 1 week off roster

Resources and Infrastructure Industry (RII)

Commonly refered to as Black Coal Competency (BCC), the RII competency is one that can be attained by an operator who has previously worked in the industry and has completed a number of operating hours on various types of machinery.

RII competency is granted to prove correct and safe operation of mine site machinery. It is a very useful qualification to have, as it confirms the operator has the required experience and expertise.
