Experienced Dump Truck Operator

Client, a leading Coal producer in the Hunter Valley region is searching for experienced Operators. The successful applicant will have 12+ months experience in mining.

Reporting to the Production Superintendent, you will be required to operate mobile plant equipment. As a key member of a high performing team, you will play an integral role in implementing the client’s project requirements. You will be highly motivated, reliable and be committed to safe work practices and continuous improvement principles.

About you

  • Demonstrated experience operating at least a 777 Dump Truck in an open cut environment with at least 12 months experience.

Please Note: This role is on a rotating roster, day/ night shift including weekends.

The successful applicant will be required to undergo a Coal Board medical and must reside in the local area as this is a residential role

The position commences in approximately 2 weeks however our client would like to interview candidates as soon as possible. The successful person will be subject to a D&A Screen and full Order 43 pre-employment medical.

      Caterpillar Haul truck 777

      The Caterpillar 777 is a 100-ton haul truck, typically used in open pit mining, manufactured by Caterpillar Inc. The first model of Caterpillar 777 was introduced in 1974. Its diesel engine is capable of putting out 870 horsepower. The 777D, introduced in 1996, was powered by a 938-horsepower diesel.

      This truck is one of the entry-level haul trucks most new operators will learn on. Once competent, they will move up to the larger 785, especially when working on a coal mining site.
