This company is a market leader in mining and commodity trading. Involved in various sites across North West QLD and around Australia they are seeking an experienced Drill & Blast Engineer for a permanent job opportunity in Mt Isa.
Drill & Blast Engineer Various Mine sites Mt Isa QLD
You will be responsible for ensuring production targets are achieved by conducting stop designs, firing plans, QA/QC, stop reconciliations and other technical activities. While being a positive influence in the underground operational environment. This role is residential to Mt Isa on a 5:2 roster so applicants must be willing to relocate. Full relocation assistance is available.
What you’ll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering and have demonstrated experience working in an underground metalliferous mine. Previous experience as either Drill & Blast or Short Term Planning Engineer would be highly regarded. As you will be working in a multi-disciplinary team it is essential that you have excellent verbal and written communications skills and a strong commitment to safety.
