Diesel Fitter – North Stradbroke Island

Reporting to the maintenance supervisor, you will Participate in shutdowns, servicing, breakdowns and repairs of critical Mobile equipment, including fault finding, root cause analysis and general problem-solving activities.

Key accountability:

• Performing all Fitting activities in accordance with site safety policies and practices, including isolation procedures
• Safety as a first priority
• Ensuring a high standard of work at all times
• Repair and servicing of Heavy and Light vehicles as required (Experience in Caterpillar Dozers, Volvo loaders/excavators. Nissan and Toyota light vehicles and stationary pumps desirable)
• Welding
• Auto electrical or A/C experience highly desirable

Requirements for the position:

You must possess a current driver’s license and a Diesel Fitting trade certificate.  A current Forklift License would also be an advantage. CAT ET and Web SIS experience would also be looked upon favorably.

The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate and work with a variety of people at a range of organizational levels in addition to a commitment to Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental requirements.
