Training Systems Administrator – Hail Creek Mine

Hail Creek mine is a large scale, long-life open cut operation, located about 90 kilometers south-west of Mackay in the northern Bowen Basin mining region of central Queensland.

Winner of the Australian Coal Mine of the Year in 2008, it offers attractive commute rosters out of Mackay, with accommodation in the on-site village boasting modern and comfortable facilities.

Reporting to the Training Coordinator, your primary focus is to influence a safe workplace by actively following the Health, Safety Management System and adherence to all company policies and procedures.

As a key member of the Health, Safety & Training team you will be responsible for the administration of the site’s training system and standards.

You will assist with the administration of training records and documents, maintaining the site’s training schedule and the coordination of all resources, equipment and materials for both internal and external training. You will provide administrative support in training and/or assessment activities, Training Needs Analysis, and inductions and on boarding of employees and contractors.

In addition, you will develop relationships with key stakeholders, including the site’s leadership team, employees, and external parties such as Government bodies and Registered Training Organizations.

Your accurate record keeping, attention to detail and ability to multitask, along with your capacity to establish effective working relationships, whilst working autonomously, will be crucial to your success in this role.
