CHPP Operator – Boilermaker – Fixed Term Contract
- 7 on / 7 off rotating day / night roster (12.5 hour shift) (Wednesday through to Tuesday)
- Residential or DIDO role (no FIFO flights provided)
- Camp accommodation and meals provided at Coppabella Camp
- Shuttle to and from camp and site
- 5 month fixed-term contract (with possibility to extend)
- Fortnightly pays
Your new role:
An excellent and immediate opportunity exists for Trade Qualified (Fitter or Boilermaker) CHPP Operator/Maintainers to join our tight-knit team at the Isaac Plains Coal Handling Preparation Plant (CHPP) on a five month fixed-term contract.
On a day to day basis, you will be required to:
- Make adjustments to plant operational conditions to ensure maximum efficiency
- Operate mobile equipment including bulldozers and front end loaders
- Perform all maintenance activities to maximize plant availability, while maintaining the highest levels of safety and environmental standards
- Perform train load out
To be successful, you will have:
- Trade Qualification (Fitter or Boilermaker)
- Demonstrated operational experience in a coal preparation plant
- Queensland Coal Generic Induction (Standard 11 Induction Training compliant)
- Current Coal Board Medical
- Current RIIs for CHPP and Loader/Dozer highly regarded
- Excellent communication skills

Resources and Infrastructure Industry (RII)
Commonly refered to as Black Coal Competency (BCC), the RII competency is one that can be attained by an operator who has previously worked in the industry and has completed a number of operating hours on various types of machinery.
RII competency is granted to prove correct and safe operation of mine site machinery. It is a very useful qualification to have, as it confirms the operator has the required experience and expertise.
