Carpenter – Olympic Dam Mine Site

An opportunity is now available for a suitably qualified and experienced Carpenter to join organisation. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role is responsible for providing repairs and maintenance to Olympic Dam building facilities on the mine site and Roxby Downs building facilities off-site.
The primary role of the Carpenter is to perform both preventative and reactive maintenance tasks on buildings, structures, fittings/fixtures, furniture and equipment within Roxby Downs and Olympic Dam, to the scope of the contract and in accordance with the standards prescribed and agreed between the client and Spotless.
The scope of work includes refurbishments and fit-outs of office and residential structures, tiling, fitting and fixture mods and installation.
Important within the context of this position is the requirement for the staff member to perform other duties, as may be required, to ensure all mandated services are delivered as per the scope of the contract.
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Relevant Qualification in Carpentry
- Industry White Card
- Joinery / installing experience
- Sound written and verbal English skills
- Solid understanding of Safe Systems of Work
- Current SA drivers license
- Senior First Aid (current) and/or LVR (advantage)
- National working at heights (advantage)
- Previous experience working in a building maintenance position involving large volumes of assets and programmed servicing schedules
This position is a residential role in Roxby Downs working a Monday to Friday roster, public holidays are not required to be worked and are paid, annual leave and personal leave entitlements.
All uniforms and PPE will be supplied. An attractive remuneration package will be on offer to the successful applicant.
