Contractor Management Superintendent – Capcoal Underground Operations

The Contractor Management Superintendent assists the Senior Leadership Team in driving the effective implementation of the Contractor Management Plan on site and upholding statutory compliance, particularly in relation to Emergency Response.

Reporting to the Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Manager, this role works closely with the Commercial, Operational and Maintenance teams and provides guidance and advice on requirements for compliance to the Contractor Management Plan and audits compliance to the same in the workplace. This is a practical role – requiring an infield assurance program in underground and surface activities to help ensure SHE risk for contracted parties on site are mitigated. In relation to Emergency Response, the role provides effective leadership to develop and implement emergency response plans and monitors compliance.

As a compliance, safety or contractor management professional with relevant experience in the underground resources industry you will have strong business acumen as well as good interpersonal and negotiation skills to influence and achieve buy in from key stakeholders. A demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation as well as the ability to understand key safety risks and ways to mitigate these would be essential. The position is designed for a professional who has the proven ability to manage relationships and multiple stakeholders. Your exceptional communication and proven leadership abilities will support your success in this role.

This is a Monday to Friday role based in Middlemount. Subsidized accommodation is available with this role. FIFO may be considered for the right candidate.
