experienced, enthusiastic and hands on Site Supervisor

Melco Engineering is world class engineering, construction and maintenance organisation with operations in the Whitsunday, Bowen Basin and Mackay regions of Queensland.

The responsibilities and accountabilities of this role will entail, but not limited to a motivated and experienced leader to:

Oversee the delivery of projects

Undertake planning activities for assigned works to ensure efficient execution

Lead and motivate onsite teams

Drive customer service standards at all levels of the business through your proactive solutions orientated approach

Grow the business by finding and developing new client relationships, managing existing client relationships

Assist your manager with tender submissions and sales estimating

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

– Proven onsite coordination & supervision experience with fabrication, construction, installation, repairs and maintenance of a variety of fixed plant and structures

-Trade Qualification Boilermaker

– Standard 11 Induction Training

– S1,2 and 3 Supervisor

About the Bowen Basin mining region, Queensland.

The Queensland Bowen Basin contains the largest coal reserves in Australia. This major coal producing region contains one of the world’s largest deposits of bituminous coal.

The Basin contains much of the known Permian coal resources in Queensland including virtually all of the known mineable prime coking coal. It was named for the Bowen River, itself named after Queensland’s first Governor, Sir George Bowen.

The Bowen Basin covers a total area of over 60,000 square kilometres and is located in Central Queensland; running from Collinsville to Theodore. The entire region is home to many coal mines operated by multiple mining companies.
