PIMS Group is a leading provider of Mining, Maintenance and Technical Services to the coal industry in Queensland and NSW.  They are now recruiting for Experienced Workshop Diesel Fitters for one of  existing long-term projects on a 7/7 Rotating Roster. They are seeking personnel who are highly motivated and have a strong commitment to safety and working in a team environment.

Workshop Diesel Fitters - Underground Coal Mine Jobs QLD

Desired Experience and Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in servicing and maintaining Underground Diesel Equipment
  • Trade Papers
  • Current Brake Testing Certificate – Mandatory
  • DES Certificate – Mandatory
  • Current Qld Coal Board Medical
  • Current Qld Standard 11
  • Current Drivers License
  • Site Competency Printout

Standard 11 Mining Induction

The Standard 11 is a course that provides skill and knowledge required for working in surface coal mines under the QLD Mining Inspectorate Recognised Standard 11.

If your job means you must access a Queensland coal mine site - you'll need a Standard 11.

The Standard 11 covers essential safety training designed to keep you and other workers safe from injury and harm when working on site.

There are 6 units of competency in the Standard 11. This course can not be completed online. Find out more about how you can complete the Standard 11 Mining Induction at a location close to you.
