Quarry Operator- Williamsdale Quarry (Canberra)

Hanson is recruiting for a suitable person to fulfill the role of Quarry Operator. Reporting to the Quarry Supervisor, this role is based at the Williamsdale Quarry.

Williamsdale Quarry is a large volume Dacite Quarry south of Canberra, supplying both internal & external customers. Supported by an experienced team; Hanson provides opportunity for a Long term career and training within the field of aggregate production.

The Position:

Working in collaboration with the rest of the team this role will involve operating quarry mobile and fixed plant, basic maintenance, laboring and plant cleaning as required.

To be successful you need to possess the following key skills and attributes

  • Ideally you will have experience operating front end loaders, excavators and other quarry mobile plant
  • Crushing operating experience is highly advantageous
  • A strong commitment to safe work practices and environmental awareness
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships within the team
  • Physically and mentally fit to carry out demanding work
All successful applicants will be required to complete a pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol screening. Random drug and alcohol tests are conducted on all Hanson premises.
