Underground Mine Technology Technician
This person will ensure assets and electrical installations are maintained to the relevant Australian standards.
Reporting directly to the Coordinator- UG Mine Technology, you will be responsible for monitoring and improving both onboard and fixed infrastructure components and availability through effective servicing and execution of preventative maintenance tasks.
Your responsibilities will also include but not limited to:
- Assist OEM personnel and system specialists with ongoing Project implementation and R&D activities.
- Monitor and improve both onboard and fixed infrastructure components and availability through effective servicing and execution of preventative maintenance tasks
- Perform project installation activities within your capabilities through co-ordination with the customer.
- Identify and analyze causes of damage and/or malfunction of technology systems, both onboard and fixed infrastructure.
- Supervision of specialist contractors
The current roster for this role will be 7 days, 7 off, 7 nights, 7 off.
Cadia Valley Operations (CVO) is located in central western New South Wales approximately 25 kms outside the vibrant regional town of Orange.

To succeed in this role, you will be safety focused, team-oriented and enjoy continuous improvement and driving for results. You will have a minimum 3-5 years Mining experience and possess a strong background working with Technology systems data, hardware and fault-finding systems.
You will also have experience of diagnostics on electrical, preventative maintenance on mobile fleet & technology infrastructure.
Experience in CAN bus machine systems and with wireless network design and installation is also highly desirable. You will be trade qualified – Electrical, (Auto-Electrical personnel with a relevant background will be considered), with the ability to multi-task and priorities in high-pressure situations.
You will be results driven and possess a proactive approach to your work with demonstrated experience to be a self-starter, ability to work autonomously and be pro-active towards problem resolution.
